Lead Frontend Developer (Lean UX)

We are looking for a design-minded Lead Frontend Developer to strengthen our Lean UX competence in Helsinki.

As a Lead Frontend Developer, you will be developing accessible web solutions with smooth user experience for our clients. You accelerate clients’ business by taking the major responsibility of a project’s frontend development, act as a glue between the design and development teams, and promote Lean UX procedures. You communicate with UI/UX Designers and work as an advisor to implement technically feasible solutions.  

You tend to be the among the first people in the project – able to discuss major decisions on the architecture, design and tool sets with clients and a team of cross-competent coworkers. You are systematic, savvy on modern web development landscape and can formulate complex business requirements and user experience designs into systems that last. We don’t lock ourselves into a single stack, so determining the best approach, architectural patterns and creating platforms and services that withstand the rapid change is in the heart of your position. 

In addition to the above, you will be sharing your expertise and supporting the fellow team members as well as collaborating with Siili’s customer team in finding new project opportunities.      

You will join Siili’s Lean UX tribe, which consists of developer-minded designers and design-minded developers. The tribe members share a common goal to work in faster iteration cycles to create user-centric solutions.

What are we looking for? 

We expect you to be a seasoned Frontend developer with: 

• Several years of experience of frontend development. 
• Keen eye for UI design, understanding of design principles and knowledge of how to implement design into agile project development. 
• Project management skills and ability to make things happen.  
• Ability to work in the customer interface and communicate with different stakeholders (business & tech). 
• Agile/lean way of working with a DevOps mentality. 
• Fluent English skills (Finnish skills are considered as significant asset). 

 On the technical side, we expect you to have: 

• Deep knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript ecosystem (e.g. React, Vue, Angular, and/or Webpack). 
• Ability to scale knowledge from small interactions to full-blown applications. 
• Experience with frontend architecture standards and knowledge of industry best practices.
