Applying for a new role in the age of AI brings up a new set of questions, and the biggest one is often: "Can I use tools like ChatGPT?" At Siili, our answer is a clear and confident yes. We see AI as a powerful collaborator, and we believe it can help you present the best version of your professional self. This guide outlines our approach, showing you exactly how and when to partner with AI during our hiring process to let your authentic skills and experience shine.

At Siili, we believe the future of digital development is built in collaboration with AI. We use AI every day in our projects and ways of working—and we’re looking for people who are excited to grow with us as we shape the Age of AI.

That’s why we encourage candidates to use AI tools thoughtfully during our hiring process. We want to see you—your skills, experiences, and unique perspective—but we also believe AI can help you refine how you share your story.

How to collaborate with AI at each stage

Here’s when and how to use AI tools when applying to and interviewing with Siili.

 1.  When applying (resume & cover letter)

Your draft first. Please write the first draft yourself, then use AI to refine and polish it. Your real experiences and skills should be the foundation, expressed clearly. AI can help make your story sharper—but it shouldn’t create a story for you.

“Review my CV and this job description. Suggest which experiences I should highlight in my cover letter to best align with the role.”

 2.  Preparing for interviews

Use AI as a coach. AI can help you research Siili, practice interview answers, and brainstorm thoughtful questions. The goal is to come to the interview feeling confident and ready to share your ideas.

“Create a study guide for interviewing at Siili. Outline key topics to review, including AI transformation, consulting skills, and cultural values.”

 3.  During live interviews

This part is all you. Please don’t use AI during live interviews (unless specifically encouraged for a task). We’re curious to see how you think, solve problems, and collaborate in real time.

Examples of AI usage

Here’s a breakdown of how we encourage you to partner with AI during the hiring process versus what you should avoid.

1. Showcasing your experience

Do: Use AI to refine and quantify your impact. The goal is to make your real experience shine.

Example prompt: “Help me quantify the impact of migrating a system to Azure and phrase it clearly.”

Don't: Use AI to create experiences or write your application from scratch. Your story should be your own.

Example prompt: “Write me a cover letter for a data scientist role at Siili.”

2. Preparing for your interview

Do: Use AI as a research and coaching tool to understand our company and practice your answers.

Example Prompt: “What does Siili value in candidates based on public information?”

Don't: Don't use AI during a live interview. We want to see your real-time thinking and collaboration skills.

3. Working on assignments

Do: Use AI to help organize your thoughts and structure your solution logically.

Example Prompt: “Suggest a clear structure for presenting my solution for this case assignment so that my reasoning stands out.”

Don't: Don't ask AI to generate the entire solution for you. The assignment is designed to see how you approach and solve problems.

Why these guidelines?

At Siili, we see AI as a partner and tool for growth. We encourage you to use it for preparation, learning, and polishing your application. At the same time, we want to get to know the real you: your thinking, your experience, and how you approach challenges.

No matter which role you’re applying for, we ask you to:

  • Use AI thoughtfully. Strengthen your application with it, but make sure your authentic story shines through.
  • Be yourself. AI can refine your ideas, not replace them. We value your real experiences and perspective above all else.

This way, we can build a process that reflects who you are and how you’ll grow with us—while making AI real, together.
