Test Automation Apprentice

Mentor & Apprentice is a pathway to the IT consulting industry for aspiring talents who are eager to work on meaningful projects and solve challenging problems. You may be at the beginning of your career or willing to turn a new page in your professional story (1–3 years of working experience).

The most important thing is your curiosity, enthusiasm to learn new skills, and willingness to grow into an IT consultant role working closely with the customer. M&A is a safe environment for learning the skills needed to succeed as a consultant, in actual real-life projects.

We will have four streams: software development, cloud engineering, business process automation, and test automation. Each stream recruits 2–4 people. Our instructors and mentors are skilled experts with years of experience in the IT industry. They are all passionate about helping others and teaching solid development principles.

Test automation brings many benefits to the software development lifecycle by eliminating human error, providing faster feedback cycles, decreasing the time to market, and overall, making the development teams' and customers' life much easier and less stressful.

As a test automation apprentice, you will learn modern test automation tooling and processes needed to thrive in the world of test automation. In addition, you get to witness the pipeline of modern software development from backlog to production.

Candidate’s background:

  • Master/Bachelor thesis or equal finished – studies must have been completed.
  • Self-learned experts are valid to apply, if there is clear and convincing evidence of the experience and competence.
  • Relevant work experience (1–3 years) in IT industry, preferably in test automation project.
  • Some experience in technologies like Python, scripting (Bash), Linux, Windows, command line, SQL.
  • Relevant test automation competence as a basis.
  • The candidate should have enthusiasm and interest in software quality and quality assurance.
  • Good attitude, critical thinking, and soft skills are more important than technical skills. Test Automation tools and processes can be learned through work.
  • Finnish is not a requirement, but it is a plus.
