Senior Data Engineer

Helsinki

We are strengthening our Cloud & DevOps business unit and are now looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our customer support team providing continuous services as well as developing new features for our customer manufacturing and servicing power sources and other equipment in the marine and energy markets. You will be involved in an interesting, mission-critical project. Among other things you will have a chance to work with Big Data, IoT, End-2-End ETL and more.

What are we looking for?

-In order to succeed in this role, we expect you to demonstrate experience in the following:
-Extensive knowledge of Java programming (Spring Boot experience is a plus)
-Data warehousing concepts, ETL vs ELT
-AWS Analytics, including AWS EMR, Athena, Lake Formation
-Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases
-Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems
-Excellent written and verbal communication

Ideal candidate is someone with:

-Proven track record of maintaining and optimizing data ETL pipelines to support operations, software, and analysts
-Proven track record of utilizing TDD/BDD/ATDD in previous workplaces
-Programming skills and experience in Python and Node.js
-Experience developing software services with stringent design targets for scalability, performance, and reliability
