Lead UX Designer

We are looking for a Lead UX Designer to join our design team in Helsinki. At Siili, we have around 100 design experts focused on creating meaningful, human-centric digital experiences.

You work independently in a client project or lead your own team of designers. You are experienced in leading the process and communicating design to all project stakeholders. You feel natural mentoring your colleagues and educating both our clients and Siili to further design maturity.  

You span your expertise to different areas of the project, being able to contribute to service design and lead the process from UX to post-production. You are involved in scoping the project together with clients and other stakeholders. Running workshops and leading daily meetings is routine for you, and you communicate fluently with developers.

You deal frequently with the more complex and demanding issues in UX design. You plan your own work and that of others. You actively contribute to developing client's methods and tools in order to enhance the quality of the deliverables.

In addition, your work includes hands-on UX designing and prototyping tasks, not to forget about gathering user insight as a part of design projects.

These are the things we are looking for in candidates:

• Strong knowledge and proven experience in modern human-centric design (thinking and practice)
• Several years of work experience in UX design
• Experience in leading UX design processes and teams
• Skills and drive in mentoring; directing and teaching other designers
• Experience in gathering and creating customer insight with different methodologies as well as conducting user tests to validate your design work
• Ability to work closely and to co-create with people from other disciplines and customer teams
• Driven and humble mindset towards making your best possible work
• Fluent English is mandatory, Finnish is considered a plus
• Skills in service-, interaction-, or visual design are considered an advantage
